A 3pm log..

So it is a Sunday and I have time to spare before my 5pm church service.. I've recently been following this magazine called 'Ray' - a fashion magazine originated from Japan that includes fashion style tips, make up tips, hairstyle tips, product reviews and sometimes they have included a few beauty recipes inside .. The last month was various types of juices.. But for September, they include this! (I love this mag sooo much) <3

Not sure how this post will turn out coz I'm using the blogger app so I can upload photos easier. But yeah, after much deliberation, I decided to make it. Credit of recipes goes to... Ms Carol of http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/carol-jay/

The ingredients.
Me measuring out the flour needed (240g).
In the end, only this much is needed: 2 tablespoons of white and black sesame each (its supposed to be cooked, I bought roasted), 80g icing sugar, 240g flour (on recipe: low-gluten, I used the normal kind: all-purpose), 80g unsalted butter, 1 egg (I use medium-sized) and a clear clean plastic bag. :)

Put them all inside the plastic bag.

Then, 'knead' them tgth. More like try to mix them and fold them all in. It's a unique experience, I've never made my cookies like this before in my life. A little review on this technique, based on just now the experience, I feel like it wasn't as efficient as if I were to do it by hand (bowl and spatula) or machine (that would've be much faster) but the good thing is that it really eliminates wastage, washing and the mess that I would've otherwise made. Also I don't necessarily have to do it in the kitchen coz, again, it's clean, not messy.

Some more pictures..

This was comparing the initial color of the overall dough to the book picture.. Mine still looks flour-y..

I know it's done when it can make its own sculpture inside the bag.. Look, art!

This is the colour comparison now, looking more solid...

And the last thing to do before refrigerating it for 4-5 hours as instructed is to roll it into a roll shape so I'm doing that and into the fridge it goes! (as you might wanna guess, this is on top of living room coffee table lols) So yup, popping this into the fridge..

See you in another 4-5 hours! (I should be working on this after coming back from church)
